This August, a week after The School of Styling, I have the opportunity again to join the ladies of the Clic Conference for their Alexandria conference + workshop. Last March I spoke about how to style the perfect shot, the fundamentals of a strong composition, and how to strengthen your personal style. I had the best time with the photographers of the conference and I can't wait to do it again!
For the March conference, Kelly approached me with the idea of doing something inspired by France. With the workshop set in a beautiful garden and spring quickly approaching, I was inspired by a French Garden wedding. Here was my inspiration board for the Raleigh conference:
Soft, creamy, flawy, and natural - that's what I wanted to create for the attendees. This is what I styled:
In a couple of months I'll be heading to Old Town Alexandria to create another styled shoot for the photographer's of the Clic Conference. This time, I've been inspired by the venue, the Athenaeum. It's beautiful peach walls and rich teal door make my color-loving-self giddy like a five year old with a cone of ice cream (chocolate, of course).
With a palette of teal, peach, and copper I'm inspired by natural, organic designs and a whole lot of southern charm. I can't wait to reveal more about this shoot! It's such an amazing experience to create something that 20+ women will be photographing. I'll bring y'all along on the process from the creation of pieces, sourcing of elements, and installation of the space.
